The girls have been preparing for Darin's birthday for a couple of days without my knowledge! Last night they locked themselves in our bedroom (eerrr) and worked on a 'project'. They even posted a sign on OUR door that said 'no mom and dads allowed'. LOL When they got home from school today they set their plan in motion. Emma had a gift bag for him and she decorated the main floor. She even set out a cold beer and pretzels on the counter for him to come home to! When he came home they hid behind the couch and jumped up to suprise him! It was so cute. He loved it! He opened his gift that the girls had come up with which included Emma's favorite book 'Bridge to Terabithia', a soduko book, a coloring page that katelyn had colored and some chocolate candy bars.
We asked him what he wanted to do for the evening and he decided on dinner and a movie. So we ate at a quaint restaurant/bar in Hanover called The River Inn which has great food. Then we went to the movie The Spiderwick Chronicals which was playing in the IMAX. The IMAX was amazing and best yet we were four out of 12 people in the whole theater! The movie was good altho a bit scary for Kate and she spent most of it hovering in Daddies lap! Emma really enjoyed the movie because she has read all the Spiderwick books.
