Kate has been saying since we decided to come to Belize that she was going to have her birthday on the beach, so by golly we did. After our excursion to the Monkey River we stopped for some gelati at our favorite italian ice cream shop and headed for the beach in front of our cabin. We wrapped her Belizian gifts in the colorful shopping bags and she gleefully opened them. Emma was excited to give her the gift she bought which was a scarf/wrap. You can see in the pictures all the different ways she can use it. Kate calls it her new blanket though! In an attempt to have a cake we bought prepackaged little cakes... very unique and she loved it.
I also convinced Kate to take her 6 year old pictures... what a better backdrop! She cooperated for a little while... I think we may have got a portrait. Let me know which is your favorite.
