Traditions

It feels so good to be away for a little while at least. The girls have been enjoying the excitement of Wisconsin Dells. Its funny how when your on vacation little quarks come up that help you remember the vacation. In the past its usually been a series of songs. When we were in Glacier for example we listened to this irish music and now I remember back to then whenever I hear that type of music. This time its the Duckboats around town. We've come up with a game as we've been driving or walking to our destinations. Whomever sees a Duckboat first says "Duckboat" in a happy/excited voice. Then we all have repeat it as if we lost in a disappointed and melancholy way eventually we all end up laughing. We've made rules up like it has to be a real duckboat (not just a picture). It can't be the same duckboat as we've seen before (altho its impossible to tell). Another rule is when we were at the duckboat store the game had to stop! Tonight we are going souvenir shopping, one thing on the list is to find a miniature duckboat to remember Wisconsin dells by and our silly game.

That reminds me of another tradition we do. When we are on vacation we tell the girls they can get one souvenir but only on the last day. They can look but we won't buy anything until the end. This really helps relieve the gimme's. And they enjoy looking.

Check out the pictures form Mt Olympus that we went to yesterday and today (just had to go back). The girls say its tied with Wizards Quest as the best part of the trip.
