This blog was written by Emma Hawley. The first day at Wisconsin dells was a blast. We got up at 8:00 a.m and ate at Mr. Pancake for breakfast. We rode around downtown Wisconsin Dells until 11:00 and then we got tickets for a speed boat tour. While we waited for the bus to take us to the speed boat launch we looked inside an army helicopter, jeep, and van. When the bus arrived we boarded it and then it dropped us off at a speed boat launch. When we got on the speed boat we were warned we might get wet, usually you just get a little wet but boy was it wrong. We were spinning in 360's, waves of water over our head. When we came out of the boat it was like we had just gone swimming in our clothes.
Then finally we can just take a break and go swimming at our hotel pool. Me and my sister did handstands, flips, and pretended we were mermaids in the water. I touched the floor of the deepest spot [10 feet]. After a while we got tired of swimming so we walked to a place called Wizards Quest. We entered a room were some one explained the game. What we did was explore the rooms of pure fun and fantasy obstacles, dark slides that lead to an unknown place, searching for answers to questions clues that are hidden random places all over the four rooms. The clues helped us earn glimmers; if we earn enough glimmers we can search for one of the wizards that were hidden. The four wizards were air, earth, water, fire. Fire was my favorite wizard to find. I got to inch my way through a half way filled tunnel of balls into a secret room. We didn't find all four wizards but at least we found three.
We walked down the sidewalk and saw all the delicous smelling foods, so we stopped at a fudge shop and bought some fudge. When we came back to the hotel we immediately drove back down were the bus picked us up but instead of a speed boat tour we took a duck boat tour. A duck boat is a boat that has wheels to drive on land. When we got on the boat we took a trail to the lake. On the trail deer were running everywhere, crossing roads, and running in front of us to. So we were driven to the lake. The driver on the boat drove into the lake and the motor started. We glided across the water while the man driving the boat toured us through the river. When we got to where the water got rough we made a u turn back to the dock and went back to the parking lot we took some pictures then went out to eat Das Boot, a german restraunt.
Where we were sitting there was some wooden people performing the Pied Piper for us. I ate a cheese pizza and orange pop. In between meals me and Kate went over by the wishing fountain and threw pennies in. Our food arrived we ate it up. While our parents talked, me and Kate danced for a half an hour then it was off to bed for the whole family back at the hotel.
