I'm a little behind on life around here. Life is just very busy for us all. So I wanted to try to get caught up a little bit.
In mid September we went to the Renaissance Festivals with our friends the Peichels. It was a beautiful Minnesota Fall day I don't think we could have asked for better weather. Emma and Kate dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Emma was a peasant and Kate dressed as a fairy. We researched the festival before we went and wanted to get as authentic costumes as we could also the timing coordinated well with halloween. This was our first time to festival and it was a lot of fun. We can't wait to go back next year. There was yummy food everywhere. Even wildrice soup in a bread bowl, turkey drustick, gyros... yum. The festival is setup with permanent buidlings and everywhere you look there is something going on. From the girls watching a couple of fairies to making mud pies with a begger on the street. We watched a jousting match and rides on an elephant. The kids got to pick one thing while we were there and they picked to have henna's put on their bodies. Emma got a pretty swirly design while kate got a panda bear. Chip surprised us all and had a scorpion put on his chest! They were all excited to show them of at school.
